Who we are

The SayVibe application is built by SayVibe Technologies LLC, a limited liability company established under Georgian law. Our postal address is Georgia, Tbilisi, Chugureti District, Lochini Street 3, floor 2, apartment 5. The director is Mikhail Altynov.

Write to privacy@sayvibe.app about anything on this page. We answer within a month.

Who the application is for

SayVibe is for people aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone younger. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will delete it.

What we collect and why

What Why How long we keep it
Email address To identify your account and to write to you about it While the account exists
Google account identifier, name and picture, if you sign in with Google To sign you in While the account exists
Device identifier To keep you signed in and to let you sign out of a device you no longer have While the device is linked
Voice recordings of your attempts To score your pronunciation and show you what to fix 30 days
Attempts, scores and progress To teach you and to show your history While the account exists
Videos you upload To turn them into scenes you can practise with Source file 90 days, see below
Usage events inside the application To understand what works and what does not 25 months
Purchases To give you what you paid for While the account exists

We do not collect your phone number, your contacts, your location, or anything you have not given us. We do not sell anything to anybody, and we do not use your data for advertising.

Your voice

Recordings are made only while you hold the record button, and only on the practice screen.

Speech recognition runs on our own servers. Your voice is not sent to any outside recognition service. It is scored, the score and the analysis are stored with your attempt, and the recording itself is deleted after 30 days.

Videos you upload

When you submit a video, two things are created: the original file and the scene made from it.

The original file is kept for 90 days. It is needed to build the scene, to rebuild it if something goes wrong, and to review a complaint. After 90 days it is deleted.

The scene stays in the catalogue. Scenes are shown to other people without any author’s name: nobody sees that it came from you. We keep an internal record of who submitted it, to answer complaints and to enforce our own rules. Private scenes stay private. If you delete your account, that record stops pointing to you — see below.

Purchases

Subscriptions and in-app purchases are handled by Google Play. We never see your card details. Google tells us only whether a purchase is valid and what it entitles you to.

Crash reports and notifications

The application uses Google Firebase for two things: to report a crash so we can fix it, and to send notifications if you allow them. A crash report contains the state of the application at the moment it failed and a device identifier. A notification token identifies the device, not you.

Who else sees your data

Who What they see Why
Scaleway Everything we store, as our hosting provider Our servers and file storage are theirs
Google Play Your purchases Payments
Google Firebase Crash reports, notification tokens Diagnostics and notifications
Google Gemini Text of the scenes you submit, never your voice Translating a scene and working out its level
Our email provider Your address, when we send you an email Delivery

Nobody else. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

Where your data is kept

On servers in France, in the European Union, and in file storage in the same region.

Two things leave the European Union. Crash reports and notification tokens are handled by Google Firebase, and the text of scenes you submit is sent to Google Gemini. Both are transfers to the United States, made under the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission and Google’s own commitments as a data processor. Your voice recordings, your attempts and your progress never leave our servers in France.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from inside the application, in settings, or through the form at sayvibe.app/delete-account.

An active paid subscription must be cancelled first, in the store where you bought it — otherwise you would keep paying for an account that no longer exists.

When you delete the account: your email address, your sign-in links, your name and picture, your recordings, your attempts and your progress are erased. Unspent Sparks are lost.

One thing is kept. Your email address is replaced by an irreversible mark computed from it with a secret key that is not stored in the database. It tells us one thing only: that this address has been registered before. There is no history, no progress and no rights behind it. It exists so that a returning person is not mistaken for a new one, and to prevent repeated abuse of free trials. Legally this is pseudonymised data, not anonymous data: knowing an address, a match can be checked.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for a copy of it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to privacy@sayvibe.app. We answer within a month.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the data protection authority of your country.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes are announced inside the application before they take effect.
